For visa requirement for all other countries please visit the main page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia (http://www.mzz.gov.si/en/travel_and_visa_information/visa_information/entry_to_slovenia/).

Who can apply?

In order to be eligible to apply for a Schengen visa at the Embassy of Slovenia your main travel destination must be Slovenia. If you are visiting more Schengen Countries, and Slovenia is not your main destination, you should direct your visa application to the country where you will be staying for the longest period of time. If you will be spending an equal amount of time in more than one Schengen Country, please direct your application to the Schengen Country that is your first destination.

If the purpose of your visit is work or study or if you intend to visit Slovenia for more than 90 days, you will need either visa D (for a stay between 90 days to 1 year) or a residency permit. Please contact the Embassy to obtain information regarding residency permits.

Starting Thursday, May 15, 2014, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ottawa is collecting biometric data, fingerprints, for Schengen visas as part of the Visa Information System (VIS).
